We don't take ownership of your songs. You merely grant us the right to administer your songs on your behalf, for an agreed term.     

We make sure your songs are properly credited to you as composer/author. We also work to ensure that your rights in your songs are not infringed and take appropriate action in the unlikely event that they are.          

Registration is a process by which authorship of songs is notified to rights societies (such as The MCPS-PRS Alliance) both here in the UK and overseas.

Membership of your local rights society is very advisable if your songs are being exploited (especially overseas).   

Rights societies have so-called 'blanket agreements', for licensing purposes, with the record industry and many of the major broadcasters.    

We sub-license any rights we acquire in your songs, for territories outside of the UK & Eire, to a network of trusted 'sub-publishers', with whom we have worked over the years. 

Their role as a sub-publisher is to provide the same day to day administrative services, in their local territory, that we provide in the UK & Eire.      

In cases where rights societies' 'blanket agreements' do not apply to the exploitation of your songs e.g. in Feature Films, Commercials and other 'one-off' independent Audio-Visual productions, the users have to seek a license for the use of your songs.

After first seeking your approval we will negotiate the terms for such uses of your songs and issue appropriate licenses.    

We collect royalties arising from any exploitation of your songs worldwide:

• Directly from the UK rights societies and all other UK licensees.
• From our worldwide sub-publisher network.

We calculate your contractual royalty entitlement and submit regular royalty statements to you together with any payment due to you.
