We had our usual busy 3 days of conferences and meetings at the 2011 Great Escape – great opportunity for us to meet our colleagues, friends and representatives from home and overseas. On Saturday the sun shone brightly on Brighton seafront for our SHOWCASE at the FORTUNE OF WAR, with great sets from SANDWEAVER, THE RICHWOODS, SUPERLUNGS and our very special guests SWEET SWEET LIES. A massive thank you to everyone involved !

Forming part of THE GREAT ESCAPE’s Alternative Escape, we shall be presenting our OPEN TIMES MUSIC SHOWCASE – on Saturday 14^th May 2011  - at The Fortune Of War, on Brighton Seafront. Featuring THE RICHWOODS / SUPERLUNGS / SANDWEAVER and Special  Guests SWEET SWEET LIES, and starting at 12.30 in the afternoon. The sun is scheduled to shine, so it should be great on BrightonBeach at the Fortune Of War !

KOVAK are playing a live set for MTV this July at the rather bizarre location of Charles Dickens
World - it's a new series sponsored by Red Bull F1 Team, and shall be in front of 1,500 people.

KOVAK have been invited to play at the prestigious NXNE Music Festival in Toronto, Canada on June 16th This great opportunity comes on the heals of the synch uses of KOVAK’s “My Boyfriend is A
Rockstar“ and “Times Running Out” in the Canadian TV production “MAKE IT OR BREAK IT “. The band will also meet up with Open Times Music’s Canadian representatives CASABLANCA, who will also be attending NXNE.

Open Times Music has acquired the publishing rights to the works of CROCKET
– an electronic instrumentalist – featuring works for tv/film/online media, and new dance tracks in the vein of Underworld and Deadmau5

We shall be attending THE GREAT ESCAPE again this year (get in touch to meet up with us there - by clicking here !) Apart from attending various Music Biz seminars, we shall be hooking up with some of Open Times Music overseas representatives, who will be coming over for this widely respected industry convention. There will also be over 300 bands playing in and around Brighton over the 3 days 12^th-14^th May 2011, and Open Times Music’s own Showcase will likely be held on Saturday 14^th – times/venue to be confirmed

KOVAK IN THE STUDIO

The ‘Vaks are currently on the Isle Of White, recording tracks for their widely anticipated 2^nd album, with the wonderful/skilful Andy Gray in the Producers chair again. The new material is sounding AMAZING – as some fans have recently been able to witness at recent gigs. Watch This Space !

First, a duet with Bruce Sprinsteen - now Stewart Francke and his band will open the first night of the  BOB SEGER AND THE SILVER BULLET BAND 2011 Tour, commencing this Saturday, March 26 at the Huntington Center, Detroit... .We've have a feeling this is going to a great year for Stewart Francke !

Stewart's new single  “Summer Soldier (Holler If Ya Hear Me)” released on 17th May 2011 will be a duet with BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN ! This first single from his new album HEARTLESS WORLD, will be supported with a Michigan mini-tour this summer, with Francke and his band playing select cd release concerts in Detroit, Saginaw, Canton, Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, Traverse City, and many other summer concert stops.

Superlungs are putting the final touches to their new album “NOBODY”,
the single will be the title track to the album, which we have now heard, and predict this could be the break the guys need. It rocks.
